Thomena has grown into a young woman, journeying alongside her father to visit libraries and academies of magic over the last couple years. They even find themselves defending a bastion of knowledge when barbarian forces invade. Yet, according to ancient documents pointed out by a mysterious being at the library, Thomena’s Codex is a lie. A starkly different and dark version of her religion is brought to light.

Thomena journeys with friends both old and new to find a land far to the south and discern the true heritage of her calling. Her magical powers have grown, but will they be a match for the dangers that guard enlightenment? The Codex is the rule-of-law in this strange new land. However, it is a land ruled by an unnatural tyrant. Other faiths are outlawed, magic is heavily regulated, and any deviation from its strict, corrupted applications are met with public punishment in front of a bloodthirsty mob at the coliseum.
