Every now and then, I do a Google search of myself, my books, or “Dhea Loral”, to see what interesting things come up. I have gotten a few surprises because of this! I know that shortly after I originally released “Inheritance of a Sword and a Path”, a book someone wrote focusing on unicorns came out. To my surprise, this author knew how I described the sounds unicorns make from what I wrote in my book. It was interesting to see something of mine paraphased so quickly, back when I could count my books sold in only a few dozen.
Today I found something even more perplexing. A little search of Dhea Loral revealed a biography page on someone named Ollie Johnston. Apparently this man, a stranger to me, was a Walt Disney directing animator who died in 2008. There is a section that describes his works…and one of them is my first book!
Needless to say, I’m somewhat confused “Inheritance of a Sword and a Path” is listed as his work. The page even contains a link to the Amazon page that has my book and me listed as the author. Go figure, how does this stuff happen?
Or just maybe…a retired Disney animator was studying my book and going to turn it into a movie! Perhaps I was only a few phone calls away from having a hit Disney picture made from my story! Then fate took him from this world and stole my destiny!
Yeah right, but I’ll keep telling myself that!
