The first readers have received copies of The Widow Brigade by now, and may have finished it. I’ve had a nervous anticipation this whole week waiting for the first review to hit Amazon.com. Fingers crossed! I know I’ve put a lot of heart and effort into this story, I’ve made the test-readers and editors cry at times!
Hopefully the first reviewer feels the same way. I can’t stress how important those opinions are to a new author trying to get his books off the ground. Until then, I’m still waiting.
For those who live near me, I am researching to try and get a nice book-signing locally. I typically don’t go for the big chain book stores. My most successful author signings have been small businesses…even coffee shops! (Dunn Bros I thank you!)
