Realm of Dhea Loral

Now that all the preparation and work down at Quest-Con has passed, it’s time to update fans both old and new about current projects. We’re going to cover both book projects and video game streams.

Books

“The Widow Brigade” proved to be the more popular seller at Quest-Con, despite the recent release of “Pilgrims with Blades: Pressed into Service.” I can’t complain…I still feel its my best work.

I learned a few things from the authors I talked to at the convention. Most interesting was the way they do covers. I’m currently satisfied that my current arrangements with Obsidian Abnormal are still the best mileage for my money. However, it opened my eyes to the deals many other authors face for their cover. Some of their deals cost thousands more, and others involve being able to use the artwork for only a limited time/prints.

I did a book trade with one author who writes along similar lines as me. Looks good!

My focus on writing is currently the second book in the “Pilgrims with Blades” series: Grandfather’s Castle. I dare not say too much, so that I may not spoil things for those who have yet to read the first book. Needless to say, however, it will be another action ride interspersed with scenes that reveal more about the protagonists.

Video Game Streams

Working on some big projects just this week! I’ll list them individually.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Chapter 2 – This was released on Oct 19th while I was down south. It is the second chapter in the Before-the-Storm prequel story of the amazingly-acclaimed Life is Strange game. I’m pre-recording this game today, to be released through this weekend. Follow Chloe and Rachel’s developing relationship as both teens continue to see big changes tear apart their worlds.

Assassin’s Creed Origins – Coming out tomorrow, (or late tonight?), this prequel to the Assassin’s Creed series will also be mostly reserved for pre-recorded releases to YouTube. The AC series offers such open world that I tend to wander aimlessly at times, seeing what pops up. Therefore, the gameplay I will release will be focused on specific missions.

Call of Duty: World War II – Coming out Nov 3rd, this game will be streamed live…both in single player and multiplayer. The single-player looks awesome! Can’t wait to see if this delivers like some of Battlefield 1’s storyline, or even better! Of course, I’ll have to try the multiplayer as well. Sadly, I’ve already had a taste of it in the beta, and saw firsthand that hackers were already a major issue.
