Realm of Dhea Loral

On Oct 28th, 2018, I was invited to read a sample at my first Wordbrew event. The occasion was sponsored by the Minnesota Speculative Writer’s Group, (Minnspec), as well as a few local bookstores and coffee shops, and hosted at Kieran’s Pub. I’ll include a link to the Wordbrew 6 “Lookbook”, which details the event and introduces the authors who appeared along with me.

I know it’s been a few weeks since the event, but it took time for the organizers to finish the above PDF as well as have all the artists sign off on their YouTube videos. Yes! I have linked below a YouTube video of me reading at the event.

My wife joined me, both of us enjoying the entertainment of the numerous stories from several local authors. It was a pleasure to hear the variety of readings, as well as chat with others who shared my passion for fiction-writing. I came away with a few more tricks of the trade. One of which is plans for the nicest space-saving bookstand which I can use at future appearances. Is it shameful to admit we bought more books than I sold?

Below is a link to my reading for the night. I focused on a chapter of The Widow Brigade in which the women are starting to organize for a fight. Of course, their patriarchal society frowns on this, and one of the clan-sires sets out to break up the proceedings. If you haven’t gotten a copy this book, know that it seems to be the fan favorite. Consider buying it and leaving me a good review on Amazon and Goodreads if you think I’ve deserved it.

Thank you to all my fans for lifting up my work and keeping my passion fueled.
